Investments

Early-stage investing, with a clear view of the business.

We consider early-stage businesses, particularly B2B software, workflow tools, and infrastructure. The discussion starts with the customer’s problem, what the team has built, and how the business earns or plans to earn revenue. We can also discuss practical support on product, hiring, and reaching customers when those needs match our experience.

What we look for

The team, the customer, and the economics need to make sense together.

Team

  • Relevant experience with the problem and a clear explanation of each founder’s responsibilities
  • Examples of what the team has built and what changed after customer feedback
  • Straight answers about progress, open questions, and the risks still being worked through

Business

  • A specific customer and a problem important enough for them to act on
  • An explanation of pricing, costs, and what needs to happen for the business to sustain itself
  • A reason customers would continue choosing the product as alternatives develop

Investment focus

The focus below describes the kinds of discussions we consider. Each opportunity is reviewed individually.

Stage

Pre-seed through Series A, with flexibility when momentum is strong.

Sectors

B2B software, workflow tools, and infrastructure that improves how work gets done.

Geography

Primarily the U.S. and Europe, with openness to distributed teams.

How we help founders

Support depends on what the business needs and what we agree to take on.

Product and operations

  • Clarify ICP, positioning, and roadmap
  • Build measurement loops and dashboards
  • Improve reliability, onboarding, and support load

Hiring and go-to-market

  • Role scorecards and interview loops
  • Sourcing help for key hires
  • GTM planning and pricing iterations

Send the deck

Email a short description and a deck if you have one. Explain the customer, product, team, progress to date, round details, and the help you are seeking. If a figure is a forecast rather than an observed result, label it that way. Leave confidential customer records out of the first message.

FAQs

Common questions about investing and how we work with founders.

What cheque sizes do you write?

It depends on stage and fit. Share your round details and we’ll respond quickly.

Do you lead rounds?

We typically participate and support. We may lead when the fit is strong and the round structure makes sense.

Do you invest outside software?

We focus on software and operating businesses where we can add value. We evaluate opportunities case by case.

What is the best way to reach you?

Email [email protected]. We read every note and reply when there is a fit.

What makes an investment introduction useful

Explain who the customer is, what they do today, and why they would switch to your product. Distinguish people using it from people paying for it, and observed revenue or usage from forecasts. Describe the founders’ roles, the current funding discussion, and how you plan to use the capital. If you want help beyond funding, name the decision or problem: a key hire, product scope, pricing, or reaching a particular customer group.
