Portfolio

Businesses we build, operate, and support.

Our portfolio includes software products, residential property, and early-stage investments. The two products below show different parts of the software work: helping people choose pickleball equipment and helping groups organise activities. The property and investment sections explain those separate areas of the business.

Products in the portfolio

PickleRickle and Plan & Play serve different users and have their own product sites and support contacts.

Software product

PickleRickle

PickleRickle brings together pickleball gear specifications, comparisons, buying options, and learning resources. Its published methodology separates reviewer evidence from product and offer data; rankings appear only when the evidence meets its publication rules. Players can use the product site to browse equipment and understand how a recommendation is assembled.

Plan & Play

Plan & Play helps sports teams, clubs, and social groups organise events, collect RSVPs, and keep group conversations together. Shared invitations and recurring events support regular sessions. It addresses the organising around an activity: making the plan visible, knowing who is coming, and keeping updates with the group.

Software & SaaS

Internal systems, customer-facing products, and software built from a recurring business task.

Operating systems

Tools that collect requests, show who owns the work, and keep records and updates in one place. Integrations can connect those tasks to systems the business already uses.

SaaS products

Products people use directly, with their own audiences, workflows, and support needs. The product’s site is the place to check current features, availability, and account or purchase information.

Services-to-software

Some software begins as a process performed for customers. The question is which steps repeat often enough to build into a product, and which still need a person’s judgement.

Real Estate

Residential ownership and operations, including homes and small multifamily properties.

Completed rehabilitation-and-resale projects include a four-unit building in San Diego and a ten-unit building in Wisconsin. Read the real estate page for those examples and our approach to acquisitions and property operations.

Acquisition

Review the property’s condition, occupancy, rental information, and expected costs before deciding whether to proceed. Planned repairs and improvements need to be included in that assessment.

Operations

Coordinate maintenance, keep track of unresolved issues, and communicate about work affecting the property. Existing tenants should use the contact details supplied for their property.

Portfolio management

Review income, expenses, repairs, and upcoming work together. A property’s running costs and maintenance needs matter alongside its rental income.

Startup investing

Early-stage business discussions, assessed separately from our software and recruiting services.

What we look for

  • A specific customer and a problem important enough for them to act on
  • An explanation of pricing, costs, and what needs to happen for the business to sustain itself
  • A reason customers would continue choosing the product as alternatives develop

How we help

Early-stage investing, with support on product decisions, hiring, and reaching customers where our experience is relevant.
